Iowa National Guard, Kosovo celebrate long partnership

DES MOINES, Iowa — It was a red carpet affair that resembled a family reunion. Kosovo Security Force members, Iowa National Guard leaders, dignitaries, and government officials gathered the evening of Nov. 6 in the extravagantly decorated Des Moines Area Community College ballroom in Ankeny.

Iowa National Guard to mark long partnership with Kosovo

CAMP DODGE, Iowa — The Iowa National Guard will hold a series of events celebrating a decade-long partnership through the State Partnership Program with the Republic of Kosovo from Nov. 5-6 at Camp Dodge in Johnston.

Iowa National Guard trains with Ukrainian forces

CAMP MARECHAL DE LATTRE DE TASSIGNY, Kosovo — Soldiers with Troop B, 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry Regiment, Iowa Army National Guard, conducted obstacle and barrier removal training with the Ukrainian Freedom of Maneuver Detachment on Dec. 16. Freedom of maneuver training is essential to the mission of Kosovo Force, a NATO-led peacekeeping organization dedicated to stability in the region.
