ASAE Tradeshow Booklet

A key component of DASA (DE&C)'s outreach efforts is coordination of and attendance to international defense trade shows. Trade shows hosted around the world provide a unique opportunity for U.S. Army leaders to enhance bilateral relations with foreign partners and demonstrate continued commitment to both allies and defense industry partners.
The Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy approves which shows and exhibitions are authorized for U.S. Defense Department  participation. DASA (DE&C) serves as the primary coordinator for Army attendance at international defense trade shows.

Strategic Communications

The Strategic Communications section is available to assist members of the news media in reporting on the DASA DE&C role in the U.S. Army's security cooperation and associated programs.

U.S., Colombia take part in combined Southern Vanguard military training exercise
U.S. Army 1st Lt. Exercise Southern Vanguard is U.S. Army South’s premier training exercise taking place at the operational and tactical levels intended to increase interoperability between the United States and Western Hemisphere forces. This year’s iteration, Exercise Southern Vanguard 23, involves Soldiers from U.S. Army South and the U.S. Army National Guard training alongside Colombian Army soldiers in varying terrain while conducting weapon familiarization lanes culminating in a bilateral military training operation.
Nov. 14, 2022 - More than 300 U.S. and Colombian soldiers stood tall in formation on the parade field of Tolemaida Military Base, Colombia, during the opening ceremony of Exercise Southern Vanguard 23. The exercise is U.S. Army South's premier annual training exercise at the operational and tactical levels and is intended to increase interoperability between the United States and Western Hemisphere forces.

$400 Million Security Package Headed to Ukraine

Nov. 10, 2022 - Missiles for the HAWK air defense system, along with four Avenger air defense systems and Stinger missiles are headed to Ukraine as part of a presidential drawdown authority security assistance package worth up to $400 million.

Nov. 8, 2022 - United States Army Gen. Laura J. Richardson, commander of the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), visited Panama from October 17-18, where she led the U.S. delegation that participated in the 6th meeting of the High Level Security Dialogue (HLSD) with Panama.
