U.S. Army Reserve nurses arrive on Guam, augment patient care at local hospital

ASAN, Guam — U.S. Army Reserve nurses arrived on Guam from Sept. 27-29 to augment the available nursing staff at Guam Memorial Hospital (GMH). Multidisciplinary nurses will work alongside GMH nurses and medical staff to support critical patient care in areas such as the Emergency Room (ER) and Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers assist U.S. Navy in logistics support of Ukraine medical supply mission

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — “We were looking at more than 200 commercial pallets with a variety of complicated problems standing between the supplies at Joint Consolidation Point Mechanicsburg, PA, and our partners in Ukraine,” said Colleen Distel-Smith, logistics management supervisor, NAVSUP WSS. To get this accomplished efficiently and accurately, medical logistics specialists from the U.S. Army Reserve were called in.

Contractors supporting the 1st Theater Sustainment Command initiate response operations to support the Lebanon tragedy, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Aug. 5, 2020. 1st TSC Soldiers and contractors worked closely with their joint logistics enterprise partners, Defense Logistics Agency and the U.S. Central Command Deployment and Distribution Operation Center, in the coordination of receiving and staging the cases of meals and water for shipment to Lebanon.
